Probably not. If "Midnight Zone" didn't grab you I don't think anything else on the album can or will.
okay, Postcard is really cool live. all the new songs sound great but could use more polish. it'll come as they play these more.
I was watching the stream a little bit, midnight zone sounded beautiful. Kids at that show are bugging me by standing still though
This has yet to click with me. Still love Postcard. Opener's cool. Don't like For A Walk. Very "meh" on it currently.
Mine says the same thing still. Emailed them yesterday and basically their reply said "it will be shipping soon".
I listened to the Revelation in the video that was quoted but I always thought Revelation was this song that they played which I really loved acoustic.
When I heard the singles I was less than thrilled about the album. That's not to say that I wasn't still excited to get new music; moreso that the individual songs didn't quite hit me hard enough. This very much feels like an album to listen to as a whole because I am just loving this album. It feels much more coherent, even with the obvious experimentation and effort to branch out from previous albums. I never got into TTWTWM other than a handful of songs but I really am enjoying this.
The last 3 tracks on here are the best on the album. Great stretch. This would be way higher on my AOTY list if the rest of the record was that good
didn't really expect this or joyce manor to make my top 10 this year but here we are. can't get over how good this is
If their main fanbase is 14-18, that means they were 9-13 when separation came out. I don't think that's the case. I would venture to say most of their fans got into separation (or earlier albums) in high school/early college. I'm 25. I like this record a lot.
My biggest complaint with this record is the same one I had with TTWTWM - Jon SImmons' vocal melodies are so inconsistent, especially in the chorus. Sometimes he writes great hooks, sometimes they're terrible.
