I'm about to give this my first listen, don't love this band but I enjoyed the last record. Will see if this hooks me more
First song engaged me immediately love the vibe. Echoing the Radiohead vibes mixed with a ton of stuff. Love how the bass grooves
Lyrics are really tough to make out at times lol. But I almost feel like they do that on purpose and let you hear what you are supposed to. Spinning works great as the second track
I only listened to Postcard of the pre-release tracks, so it's nice to take in just about all of this as a complete experience. I'm really impressed by this after being mostly indifferent to their first two albums.
This sounds like the turnover record only in guitar production/tones but bass and song writing are very very different in my opinion
There's a lot of vocal tone variety on this album. Singer exploring range and trying out new things/ways of singing. I'm always a big fan of this, use all of your toys to create something original
Same avatar was really throwing me off, thought it was like 10 posts from the same person. (Still haven't listened, being brave until it's on Spotify)
Trying to get through the middle of the album is a doozy, let me tell you. Physically exhausting. Just finished it, (probably) won't ever listen to it again.
i know, i was only mentioning it because it's been brought up in the thread a few times. if this were more like the turnover record, i wouldn't like it as much haha
i got kinda bored halfway through or so and kinda zoned out listening. it's prob their best work but I don't know how much time I can give it
