I know these posts are old as hell, but I'm finally digging into these recs since Title Fight, Turnover, and Tigers Jaw are playing a festival I'm going to on Saturday, and I want to at least be familiar with their work.
I just listened to Separation for the first time in years lol. Some of the lyrics or hugely cringey/cheesy but it's still a sick album.
Yeah I don't feel like spoiling three songs on a ten song album haha. Gonna be hard to read the comments in here though. Might have to abandon thread for a bit
Caught it live and it was really good. Closer to Afterparty than Postcard but I love Afterparty so thats cool with me. We've already been so spoiled for music in the last month its almost unbelievable to me that this is still coming out.
The live one? no it wasnt. I heard somewhere that that song didnt make the cut and I hope that rumor is true
3/3 from these dudes so far on this record. October 7th can't come soon enough. Also wishing the record would be more than 10 tracks. 10 always feels so short, but looking back TTWTWM was a bit too long at 13 so maybe 10 is a good thing? Also for anyone having trouble finding it, skip to 1:09:00 to listen to the song: BBC Radio 1 - Rock Show with Daniel P Carter, Jimmy Page, Ghost, Young Guns and Trash Boat
I do hope the rest of the album is more similar to Postcard than the other two singles, though. That song floored me, and more of the experimentation that they explored on that track would make for a phenomenal record. That being said, even it is sort of an outlier, as long as the rest of the songs are up to the caliber of the 3 singles I'm sure it will be a great record that I'll really enjoy.
love lean 10 track albums but a lot of my favorite albums are super long like MBDTF and The 1975s S/T/Sleep. I prefer shorter albums tbh.
speaking of lean 10 tracks album, Damage is another quality 10 track album, and it has a song called Lean
