I was way into them back with Only Boundaries and Separation but I didn't even bother with the last one. New track is unreal though.
The songs grown on me a ton. I was pretty iffy on it when they released it, I love it now. I immediately liked that they were pushing the boundaries of their sound, but I was unsure if I liked what it sounded like. I'm all in now.
Listening to "Separation" for the first time in a very very long time right now. It's so interesting how music ages. When Separation came out, i was like 16 I think, and it was all I listened to for months. I remember every track just absolutely flooring me, but it just hasn't aged well for me. Like I don't think it's a bad record, but in 2011 I thought it was one of the best things ever... Now I listen to it and I think "yeah this record is pretty cool", but really it doesn't have the same effect on me now. Not even close. Edit: re reading that post, I don't think I articulated my feelings towards this record very well. To clarify: i still actually really like Separation, but not to the caliber I did back then
I'm interested in how this song will be live / whether or not it'll be completely live drumming or a blend of live and programmed parts
This seems likely but I would've really loved something completely different. That mostly stems from me hearing not great things from this bands liveshow, but it's cool, I mostly want to see Foxing anyway
Jumping in this thread Absolutely love the new song. Listened to their last album and liked some of it but couldn't get into their debut. Beyond stoked for this one though.
this is super cool. probably should have been the first single, feels like a midway point between Things We Think and Postcard. I really like it though.
Not sure if i like either of the new songs. They're both too mellow and lack punch. After party has a cool bridge but other than that, meh. We'll see how the album is as a whole.
Loved that. That bridge is definitely a little new for them. Really catchy chorus too. Probably gonna be their best record.
