I'm really happy about the direction they are going. Oddly enough, I'm getting a Hot Fuss era The Killers vibe from this song. Obviously it leans towards Balance & Composure's post-grunge tendencies but it still reminds me of dark, 80's inspired, synth-pop but with less pop.
I was generally speaking, should have been more specific, sorry! Feels like the general trend based on social media about the band today.
very fun song, i hope it's followed up with an absolute banger of a track. It could have been a 30 seconds- a minute shorter but ultimately excited about this direction.
This is a far more interesting song than anything on the previous record, so I'm pretty curious to hear where they go with the rest of the album.
Starting to straight-up love this song. I don't mind the track length at all, I always end up replaying songs that are this hypnotic anyways
That new song sounds like they're trying to write their own Songs Of Faith and Devotion. I dig it. Can't handle people who hate anything as soon as there's a bit of an electronic influence to it.
Loved the last album so obviously I little cold on the new single but it has moments. Dig that live song you posted though. Regardless will pre order when it goes live here in a bit.
I like the song. I like the drums. Parts of that riff still sounds too similar to I Might Be Wrong and it puts me a little off. All the other radiohead comparisons in here I don't agree with really. They've likely been listening to some kraut rock and some Interpol
Returning to TTWTWM because of this. Still really enjoy the album, still don't enjoy how arpeggioy every song is.
Damn, this song is so much better and more interesting than anything on TTWTWM, which was so awful. Really happy this band decided to take a huge creative risk. Also, I imagine this song sounding fucking awesome live.
i like how the volume of his voice on this. since hyperview was mentioned, i like how this one is low enough that i have to pay extra attention to understand, but not so low that it's buried under everything where i can only get the melody with snippets of actual words if i don't have the lyric sheet in front of me. i loved hyperview though. enjoying the single more i listen to it too, less bothered by the time.
