Since I couldn't make it out to any of these shows I'd be bummed if they didn't decide to at least do some more selective/smaller runs like this in the near future (fingers crossed for something in New England). Would be shocked if they don't do more given how positive the response has been to the comeback, and Jon definitely seems like he wants to keep the ball rolling with B&C.

This was my first time at Knockdown Center and no exaggeration I started sweating as soon as I walked in. bar lines were roughh too. but hell, the show was great and I had a blast even though I was drenched just standing there LOL

Yeah, we got in right as Choir Boys were wrapping up and was already head to toe drenched before we even made our way into the crowd.

That being said, 3200 tickets sold for the show. Nuts.

They need to do a full tour so all their fans can see them.

    Probably their old drummer’s fault

Probably because of jobs and kids, which is, ya know, what they stated

    Honestly this doesn't make sense?

Are we getting a full album or just these 2 songs ?

Why can’t people just be grateful for a couple new songs and some shows

    hate my favorite band

How do you equate not doing a full tour with them not doing a full album? They just got back together. Chill

We reach for the longest shadow

There’s no way to know for sure, but there was hints of more new music. Who knows when. Full time touring is becoming a thing of the past for mid sized bands, it’s getting more expensive and bands can’t afford it like they used to (not that they really could then). This is the model B&C and Fireworks are both using, play 3-4 shows regionally then take a break for a while.

I'm guessing two new songs before Riot Fest and maybe some dates around the Midwest.

The reception here and other places online to this band's comeback has been weird. It's like people never saw a band comeback after breaking up and have no idea how things would generally flow.

I'm sure they'll put out new music (most likely an album) in the coming years and they'll keep touring "sporadically" ( couple small tours for the year or support a bigger act they like) unless they go viral or something.

They've always loved playing and writing music so I'm sure they'll keep doing that at some pace in the future.

I just thought it would be a full on comeback with a massive tour so we could see them. Obviously the demand is there they are selling out every show at big venues.

The 2 new songs are the best of their career.

Just doesn't make sense not to build on it.

We need a full album and proper tour from this band!

  21. You can see them. Travel if you can. Like many others have had to do.

This isn’t a hard thing to grasp.

mf10 seems to be ignoring the massive costs/risks of being a full time touring band.

Also they dont owe you shit.

Also its not the band's fault you didn't or couldn't go to the shows they just had. I couldn't make it to any of them myself. I'm bummed about it but that's life.

  24. They have other responsibilities now... that's pretty much it. Let it go and be grateful for what they're able to offer on their own terms, free from expectations and from the commercial pressure they may have had in the past as a once full time band. Weren't you at one point complaining that they hadn't gotten back together yet? Focus on the most important thing, which is they're active again. Anything more is a bonus.

What Balance is doing is the reality for most musicians today. Even bands that are very active, you are seeing scale back the quantity of touring for smarter touring and working a more stable full-time job elsewhere. Touring costs, driving costs, and merch costs are all up, and that squeezes a lot of people out. Not to mention label deals shifting over the years. The reality is that there just isn't a ton of money out there for most bands, and it therefore, is smarter and healthier to have the band be an amazing side hustle (for lack of a better term) that can always be there within some limits. The members probably took home more money from this short run than they have from some of their longer tours. That is better in the long run for them to do more stuff. It's about picking their spots rather than being on the hamster wheel.
