I've always said this band deserved big things! THIS IS THEIR TIME! We got to get out and support this band and their amazing music. These new songs are absolute bangers. You can tell they are back to having fun and leaning more towards their first 2 Albums, which is great. This is the best news as far as music their has been in a while. Now, set back, go listen to More to Me and bask in their greatness!
Early this morning I was actually thinking about how much I missed them, reminiscing on how awful of an experience their final show was for me. I’m glad I get a chance to redeem that.
The switch up in the drum beat from the first half to the second half of the chorus of Savior Mode is real good stuff.
Savior Mode is such classic B&C and I love it so much. Sounds like it picks up right where TTWTWM left off. Also how the fuck has it been 10 years since that record came out.
Huge news! Was wondering if something was stirring as I recall Jon finishing write a more rock forward release for Creeks a couple years ago but then nothing came of it. Then he started back posting more with the guys etc. Feels extremely surreal, like most people have mentioned B&C played a huge role in my life and I’m extremely thankful to have them back. New songs are incredible, a lot more stripped back and clean than their past work, but reminds me mostly of the songs from the Braid split and the Slow Heart ep.
they were pretty upfront on Jon's podcast that touring will be limited to smaller runs of shows here and there
I was thinking the EXACT same thing when it came to sounding like the other in-between releases. Listened to the Braid split yesterday and those songs are really underrated.
I love this model if it keeps the bands I like semi-active. Only problem is I'm in the south and so far not a lot of these bands are making their way down here (Furnace Fest aside).
I was living in the burbs of Philly during this wave of band’s twilight, and I got to see Superheaven (Daylight then) play their record release show for Jar at a vinyl shop in Doylestown to like maybe 30-40 people that could fit inside. All the members of B&C, as well as Brendan and Nick from Circa, were in the crowd. Very cool moment for me. It was the second time I got to meet B&C and they were all really cool guys. Including Bailey, which admittedly, I had thought refused to come back because of the accident and the impact that had. The money stuff was lost on me and I was sad to read it. They all seemed very close.
I remember that. I used to love going to the little shows they’d hold at Siren Records. They’d do some really intimate record release shows for bands in the area and it was always a good time. For a long ass time, they used to keep some demo CDs up front from the band Jon Simmons and others were in prior to Balance. The Erection Kids
