Pentimento is such an underrated album. Picked up gold rush. Glad to have it in my collection

Kudos to Zack and Thomas for all of the cool releases they put out, I never thought I'd be able to get Phantoms on vinyl till they did.

Always enjoyed their releases. Glad they were able to give Mansions a second wind. May need to scoop up another I, No Longer variant for my collection as I agree, that album is really underrated.

  8. It's funny. I don't know why it stuck, but I remember exactly where I was sitting when Zack IM'd me about Acceptance. They were either just going after the rights or just locked them down. He asked me for a list of other records like it that I would want to see pressed and if I could help find higher res copies of the Phantoms artwork. I put him in touch with the designer, Ryan Sims, who I was a massive fan of for his yet unsurpassed UI for Rdio. My memory goes hazy there, but I don't think Ryan had any files that could help, so I believe they went with blown-up scans of the CD booklet.

I bought a lot of great vinyl from the label over the years, but the bulk of my gratitude stems from their involvement in Mansions' continued discography. I assume/hope Chris will continue releasing under one of Zack's other distribution channels. Gonna go throw on Tuff Luff and pour out a Brooklyn Lager in memory. #RIPBTR

That’s a shame. I’ve picked up a lot of Mansions’ releases from them. I was hoping they’d find some of the Deserter EP laying around.

  10. Thomas sold me test pressings of pretty much everything I was missing from their run of Mansions records. I think Deserter and Tuff Luff were the exceptions. I don’t collect tests typically, but for Mansions I couldn’t pass up the opportunity.

When he told me the one that had already been claimed was Deserter, I was bummed. Then after I finally got all my records in one place after I bought a house last year, I found that I already had that one!

(If I find a spare copy of Deserter anywhere, I’ll try to remember to get ahold of you)
