Bad Sisters (AppleTV+)

Let’s discuss this dark, funny, witty show here! An Irish black comedy set in Dublin (based on the original Belgian series Clan). S1 was nominated for four Emmy’s, and s2 now releasing episodes every week on AppleTV+.

s1 reminded me a bit of Big Little Lies featuring one of the all-time best villains, and s2 is taking off in another direction. Love this show. I think Becka and Bibi are my favorites

 

Angelica is truly batshit. That neck brace in the most recent episode made me lol

Beginning to feel like Angelica has been a red-herring and the real villain is Ian.

Yeah it definitely has that vibe. Lots of closure. But I’ll take anything they give me at this point

 

My partner and I loved the first season. She is so unfussy when it comes to tv but both of us are struggling with season 2 after 4 episodes. Not awful, but a huge step down from 1.

Humour lacking and the plot a bit unfocused.

 

eh i agree about the humor but the plot was better and more streamlined this season imo. it also helps that we had grace as an established character s1 and to have her as the focus but not really be present in s2. the tangents she’d go on in s1 diluted it a bit.

 

Plot was definitely better in s2. Idk about humor as i feel like i still laughed a lot. S1 made a big impression on me as the “Irish Big Little Lies” - which I loved - but the second season proved it’s more than a one-trick pony

 

Yeah I loved the finale and I thought the season was about as good as the first.

 

I'll stick with it then

 

I do think it picks up a bit in the last few. Hope you enjoy!
