Their dynamic is very fun, I hope they are paired up for all of the episodes. It's extra special to me that they filmed these at The Roxy, which is where I saw them for the first time, just before Age of Unreason came out. They played No Control in full and it was so much fun.
Yep! And between you and me, I'll probably try to use a Chrome extension to record them for my personal archives at some point between now and then
I’m surprised that more bands haven’t recorded some of these concerts for audio release as live albums/live sessions.
If they are being recorded professionally, why not? Make up for some lost tour revenue. I feel like it’d be easy for bands to pull off.
Especially bands with the base that BR has. They've got probably 2-3k fans who purchase everything they put out
Awesome! I'm excited to watch all but don't have the $46 at the moment lol I feel like we're going to see a lot of blu ray / live albums for all these live streams next year. The amount of time and money going into them and then the fact that they're only available for a short amount of time, I would just imagine there's a bigger picture. I am a sucker and would also buy most of the blu ray / vinyl if they came out for most of the streams I've watched lol
Yeah, the BR one I would for sure, they're my favorite band and also haven't released any live visuals since the Palladium DVD in 2004 if I'm not mistaken. I almost shelled out for Alk3's Past Lives show too, but BR definitely edges them out a bit in the live performance department.
Yeah, BR was definitely in need of a live visual release. I recently watched the Palladium show and it’s still good, but it’s 16 years old haha. If I were them I’d bundle the decades songs into a live release when this is all said and done. Ten years since their last live album!
Watched again and noticed these guys are plugged straight into the sound board/monitor. Their amps are there bc they look cool, but they're not mic'ed or on haha. Behind them you can see they're using the Kempers. Thats probably is why they sound so tight.
usually when artists do this they still have the amps on stage so they can hear/feel the noise on stage
Super stoked about the 90’s episode. I see them favoring Stranger Than Fiction a lot, but I hope we get a lot of Against The Grain songs. Spirit Shine would be nice to see. Thats one of my favorite BR songs. It's up there with Turn On The Light and I Want To Conquer The World. It'll also be interesting to see what they choose from Recipe for Hate. It would be cool to see something like Don't Pray On Me, Watch It Die, or Man With A Mission. Who knows, Eddie Vedder could make a guest appearance haha! I feel like they'll probably play 1 song from No Substance, but I'm hoping for at least 2.
So, the Kemper goes direct the monitors/board AND the cabs, but they don't mic the cabs? I don't know if thats possible or not. I've never used a Kemper, but I wouldn't be surprised with the way technology is these days.
Biggest hopes for the 90’s show, besides the stuff they will almost certainly play? Recipe: Don’t Pray on Me Generator: Too Much to Ask ATG: Turn On The Light STF: Tiny Voices Grey: Them and Us No Sub: Biggest Killer New America: Believe It
I’ll throw my hat in the ring for 90s requests from my all time favorite band. This is actually my favorite decade from them so I am really looking forward to this set even though the 80s one was incredible and I’ve already rewatched it multiple times. ATG: Walk Away Generator: Two Babies in the Dark Recipe: Skyscraper STF: Better Off Dead Gray Race: Cease NS: Shades of Truth (I always thought this song could’ve been a big hit for them. That chorus melody is one of Greg’s best hooks I think) I know most of these are probably long shots but a man can dream right?
Bobby’s always had such a boyish face, haha. Really cool to see a more recent photo of him with other BR members
