Justice is actually a really good album

 

Ooh I thought it was some weird mixtape that was all Craig David interpolations haha, I know this one. Not a huge fan because I prefer the voice he grew into a couple of years later.

It's been years so I don't remember which song it is but you'll immediately know when you get to it

As a fun tangent, one of my favorite comeback stories is Craig David being invited on a UK radio show shortly after. He decided to perform a freestyle/mashup of Fill Me In and Where Are U Now and... it blew up! He was about to release his first single in 5 years but that event really kickstarted the second arc of his career. Witnessing it in real time was so heartwarming after what he's been through.

wish I could find the video of a hardcore vocalist telling some kid in a hot dog costume to take it off. so many "let people enjoy things" comments underneath my eyes couldn't roll hard enough.

 

It’s so weird because the kids that i teach that are the most interested in exploring different, cool kinds of music also have that troll nonsense in them. I said it somewhere else here before but one of my students went to the Duster concert and said kids her age were there playing the hawk tuah podcast out loud while holding their phones over their head and yelling “fein” and moshing during the set.

I agree with all this except I think recording with a 3DS is kinda a cool idea cause you can make video with the 3D effect lol

 

That video is at a fucking MIKE show too. He doesn’t deserve that shit happening at his shows, he’s one of the nicest guys in rap.

The most annoying thing for me, more than the picks or the order, is how he uses entries on the list to rant about things unrelated to the albums he's supposedly discussing. Like, in writing about The Postal Service at 99, he's talking about why he excluded Arcade Fire's Funeral. If you're going to leave off a canonical album from a problematic band, just do it! Don't get all weirdly defensive in the body of the list itself.

list just tells me that the writer has boring-ass taste

 

I don't know why all music websites feel the need to embed YouTube videos for every album or song included on a list, even though everyone knows having that many embeds on a page makes it unreadable in mobile. Just put the album cover and make everyone look up the music on their own time.
