I'd keep the 00s. I know it sounds insane but nu-metal is my anti-drug.

 

The decades thing is interesting. I don't think I've bothered making an all-time favourite albums list for almost a decade — generally cynical about that sort of deliberation — but on a train a couple of days ago I suddenly found myself pondering a top ten and was surprised that very quickly I had a list of ten which included three albums from post-2013. Think I would have guessed one at most beforehand.

 

The Hotelier is a dumb name. Their original name was better

 

Runnner is bad. Hovvdy is pushing it.

 

Sepultura is the coolest band name.

 

Cutting the 90s only makes sense if it's the 2090s

 

I exclusively listen to bands/artists with good names. Y’know, like Soccer Mommy.

 

If you can only keep one decade, it's gotta be the '70s. Unfortunately you lose hip-hop but you get golden ages of so many other genres. Rock, funk, soul, tropicalia, disco, punk, prog, art rock, singer-songwriter, outlaw country, (proto)metal, etc.

 

I just pronounce it as hovdy instead of howdy, seeing them tomorrow actually!

I completely agree on the word "jeans" being used in a band name. No idea why!
