I said it before that Soccer Mommy is a bad band name (and got roasted - whatever) but I also don't really care as it's not my cup of tea so even if it was another name, I wouldn't be listening. If it was music I liked, I'd get over it, but I'd still really, really hate telling people that I was listening to, or going to see, soccer mommy.

Michael Cera Palin is funny to me but it's also dumb as it's so dated now. Sarah Palin was a flash in the pan.

I don't really have any issue with Bilmuri as a band name - hate the music though.

My 2 least favorite band names in recent memory are Diet Cig and Fust.

 

Nah, that's a great band name.

I still want there to be a midwest emo band named Carly Rae Jeppson's Malört.

 

Diet Of Worms is actually not a terrible name for a band, so it's absolutely going to be Shoe Penis.

 

I really don't have much of an opinion on band names as most band names sound dumb if you think about them long enough.

I think 90 % of band names are bad

 

I don’t feel too strongly about most band names but I will never check out Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs because of how much I hate their name.

I will add that metal/punk bands have a real strong batting average for good band names

 

You missed 2 Pigs, plus that band is awesome.

Seems silly to dismiss a band out of hand because of their name. At least verify their music sucks, then you can completely roast them.

 

Simply come up with a great band name like Nirvana, Oasis or The Butthole Suffers.

 

What's the point of coming up with any band name when your logo doesn't look like that on a flyer?

 

If I had to delete an entire decade of music from existence out of the 70's / 80's / 90's / 00's (and you can ignore any ripple effect shit like 'ohh! but that wouldn't exist without it's it's influences!!' etc) I'd probably press delete on the 90's.

I guess maybe the 70's, but no way on the 80's or 00's. 100% safe.

Now I know that's a bad opinion for a lot of you, even though it's a tough choice (and I'd respect any answer).

(Sorry, my hate for pearl jam made me think of this).

I didn't want to include pre 70's as that's a cop out. Only the popular decades that (most of us) still listen to. Otherwise you'll all be goobers and delete the big band and swing of like the 1930's or something.
