as with every(? iirc) oasis record there are a few b-sides that are a billion times better than what made the record :)

 

Yes and it contains one of their BEST songs, "Acquiesce".

 

so many of their best songs are on that comp

 

"stay young" aka the credits song in the faculty: prob my favorite oasis song ever

the masterplan would probably be their third or fourth best album

standing on the shoulder of giants is them basically trying to be primal scream, and it works. leaving noel in control of all the stringed instruments was a good move, fuckin in the bushes and gas panic are among their most experimental songs that sound nothing like the sound they apparently always have on every album, and put yer money where yer mouth is, I can see a liar, and roll it over take that formula and flip it. so yeah, it's a good album lol. it isn't that complicated.

 

the songwriting is bad and boring

 

Hole was a good band. They were absolutely not better than Nirvana. I have seen that opinion around recently, and if anything it feels like an over-correction to address how poorly (read: misogynistic) Courtney love was treated by the press and music fans at large. Not like it was entirely undeserved, but yeah.

 

I have absolutely no opinion on any of them as people, I just really like Live Through This and don’t really like Nirvana or Bush

 

i would not say they were better than nirvana but god hole was dope, live through this and celebrity skin are two of the best albums ever

 

Also I just like stirring the pot here

 

I will say I haven’t listened to a Nirvana album in what might be more than 15 years, maybe I would feel differently now

 

Nevermind and in utero are both perfect albums.

 

you would think you would like it then, being used to that with blur

 

in utero is their best. some days i enjoy bleach more than nevermind. incesticide is one of the great b-side albums.

 

I don’t like Nirvana

 

As soon as anything grunge related gets brought up I have to tell people to listen to Kerbdog's album On The Turn.

 

Bleach, Nevermind, In Utero, Unplugged, and Incesticide are all A+

I think I like Smashing Pumpkins more than Nirvana but both are good

I think I prefer Mellon Collie

 

But so are in utero, nevermind and their unplugged album.

 

I listened to Siamese or Mellon (one of them can’t remember which) for the first time about two weeks ago and have no opinion on it as I remember nothing from it
