I kept reading for the one I’d agree with and it never came

 

Thrice isn’t very good imo

 

Agree 2011-present

 

Thrice is good. Sometimes they have been very good. Other times they have not.

 

@Dirty Sanchez is my favorite Thrice fan

 

Their best song is Child of Dust

 

Vheissu ——> Alchemy ——> Beggars is a perfect run

 

Major/minor -> TBEITBN -> Palms is a horrible run

 

Each album has a song or two that I fucking love, a couple I hate, and rest are there

 

TBEITBN is the best of the bunch. A solid 8/10

 

I don’t think I’ll ever be able to get into them tbh. Dustin’s vocals are just really not my bag.

 

Like, I don’t think they’ve become bad, that’s the wrong word. But I think they’ve become stale and maybe a little too comfortable. I look at a band like mewithoutYou and marvel at how they are able to continously push their sound in such interesting ways. Thrice should take notes tbh. There are glimmers of change on Palms, I feel, but those moments are few and far between

 

Stale like a 10 week old loaf of bread.

 

I still consider them one of my favorite bands of all time due to the albums I love, but it’s been awhile since I’ve felt super passionate about them and it pains me to say that

 

TBEITBN and Palms are great. Major/Minor has some bangers and some duds. Everything else is good to great except for their first album and the earth ep.

Saying they are better than Deftones though is just hella rude @Davjs

I don't think Thrice is good at all. Tried to get into them and just cannot

I like them a lot but yeah they’re definitely on a pedestal that they don’t really belong on

 

There are bands on the right that I agree are way overrated, but their partners to the left I cannot always agree with.

Yellowcard > Thursday is the most egregious imo. Atreyu > FOB the most uncomfortably true, at least when referring to their best albums.

 

I think Story of the Year > Jimmy Eat World is the most "Wat" statement I have ever seen.

 

Yeah. I don't really know how that's a thing at all.

 

I think Thrice are a bad live band unless you are a HUGE fan. I've seen them three times live and haven't enjoyed it at all. I have listened to all their albums plenty of times, and like them a fair amount, but every time I have seen them live it sounds like one long song and I can't tell what song it is until the chorus
