I think AJR is my sister’s favorite band?

Cannot say that I’m a fan, lol. But, I’m almost never around that music, so whatever, don’t really have to think about it.

 

My sister too is into garbage (not Garbage). She wasn’t when she was young, which is funny.

 

I get them confused with AJJ from time to time

 

never heard of them until this thread

 

I kinda like AJR
They're not great or anything, but my wife likes them a lot and I'm rarely repulsed when she has them on. OK Orchestra has some stuff I like a decent amount. They're basically budget brand Fun. to me.

 

I posted something on Twitter once about the worst band of the 21 century and the answer that came up the most was ajr. I don’t think I’ve ever heard a song of theirs but this thread makes me curious

 

this is all the first I've heard of them. possibly a US-centric thing that thankfully hasn't made it here so much

 

When I worked at Home Depot I was wearing one of my 37 Nirvana shirts and some young kid that worked there said nice shirt and then asked if I listened to AJR. I never heard of them and was so confused when I listened to a song. Why’d he think I’d like them?

it's always funny to me to see musicians like Joe Vann, Aaron Marsh, Anthony Green, pretty sure even Jim Adkins, liking their posts

but also it has given me a new fear when producing any kind of music related content - "could this in any way end up on CY?"

 

I only have one friend who follows them and then 7 bands or brands

 

I have never heard of AJR until today but I'm going to need to hear this.

Truly I thought “maybe ive been too harsh on imagine dragons”

 

After the few songs I admittedly only listened to like half of, they sound about exactly where I’d put stuff like Imagine Dragons and Twenty One Pilots. Real bad lol. If they are worse than that I’m gonna have to take y’alls word for it

 

Their bigger singles (if that’s what you heard) are not as bad as the album I listened to. Werner Herzog Grizzly Man “no one should hear this” stuff

 

I choose to be grateful that I’ve never heard of this AJR band. I’m going to do my best to make sure I never hear them now.
