Algernon was cool when I saw them in a house show back in 2010 with slingshot dakota. i was drunk as shit so i don't really remember the vocals being bad.

 

In fairness to The Middle being submitted on that music league playlist (it wasn’t me!), literally every person in the league disagreed with it being there except for one person lol

If Cut Me Up Jenny is not Taking Back Sunday’s worst song then I have made the right call not bothering with anything past New Again

Subway Funeral is probably the only Thursday song I don’t love. I don’t like a majority of Color Before The Sun album by Coheed. Deftones have a lot of duds unfortunately but I’ll give them credit they’re usually taking swings at least when they don’t connect(Pink Cellphone, Xeroxes, stuff on Gore).

 

I don't know what Xeroxes is but I know you're not talking about Xerces because that's one of their best songs.

 

also saying all Stomp Clap music is bad is such a weak take when Little Lion Man exists

 

“Stomp clap” is such a lazy insult. Most of that music is fine.

What is the worst music to come out of that style? Lumineers are fine. Noah Kahan is fine/good. Zach Bryan is good

 

I think Lumineers are pretty bad at this point, the first album was ok but that Ophelia song is so hard to listen to

 

I'd rather listen to the O'Reilly jingle than Ophelia.

tbs's worst is probably money or faith. happiness is and tidal wave pick things up greatly and are essentials tho

jimmy's tbh my least fav is 555 but thats more so a swing and a miss against my own aesthetic preferences rather than an outright bad track

my favorite band from the scene in high school was alkaline trio, and their worst song is probably live young die fast. zzzzzz

I’ve never spent much time with Happiness Is or Tidal Wave, so no idea if anything from those would compete for “worst.” But, from the albums I do know, the self-titled definitely has lows lower than “Cut Me Up Jenny.” Maybe “You Got Me” would be front runner for worst?

Also feel like there’s a song or two on TAYF that are real duds? Weirdly never go back to that one these days, though, so forget which ones.
