Saw someone comment on a mutual friend’s Facebook post calling Sleep Token and Ghost “coworker metal” and I think that might be perfect.

 

haha yup I’ve seen that too, very accurate

 

Not sure what that means nor why we're ragging on Ghost now, who are amazing.

 

Coworkers love saying “hey this sounds like the music you listen to” before showing you the worst music imaginable.

 

That's fine, but I don't get why we're applying that definition to good bands. Sounds really weird and kind of disturbing.

 

Ghost are as great and fun as Sleep Token are dull and....po-faced. They have basically nothing in common other than being popular.

My personal fav

 

My Christmas listening this year has mostly consisted of Lauren Daigle, Relient K, Ariana Grande, Poema, and Dustin Kensrue. Also a lot of August Burns Red thanks to the playlist my friend made for work. And, a fair measure of that Lofi Girl’s holiday music playlist/stream.

Taylor Swift’s evermore & Red are also great if I want just a hint of Christmas. Like the sparkling water of holiday music. Assuming she eventually does a TV with her old Christmas EP, a Taylor-centric playlist will be quite nice; I loved her version of “Silent Night.”

 

There are like a thousand good Christmas songs made by R&B singers between like 1984 and 2009
