Arctic Monkeys are great.

Yeah that last one was so boring it made me forget their good shit lol. I like their debut and Suck It.

 

i nominate Muse for the actually bad british bands list

 

Muse is awesome.

Well, old Muse is at least.

 

I don't like the Arctic Monkeys because I had a weird roommate in college who liked them and I let him borrow my car one evening and he got a ride home (?) and left it downtown and he couldn't remember where so yeah that band sucks

 

yeah i guess objectively if you’re going off numbers, muse is probably the most overrated, but who is actually having conversations about that band in 2022

 

my gf’s mom LOVES queen and when we visit for the weekend that’s basically all she plays so now I hate queen with a passion.

Muse are a singles band for me but I also haven't ever done a full discog dive so I need to do that sometime

 

the first three rip. the fourth is decent but bloated. everything after (what, like four albums now?) is some of the worst music i’ve ever heard

 

Muse are the musical equivalent of the Joe Rogan podcast

 

I've never listened to Muse aside from the two songs you can assume I've heard

 

We have so many many worse bands than Muse or Queen or Arctic Monkeys.

Coldplay or Westlife come to mind.

Not sure Fontaines would appreciate being referred to as a British band.

The fact you don’t know who Westlife are makes me crazy jealous.

They’re the wettest, most boring boyband of all time. Unfortunately they are also massive, massive sellers. They mostly do like bland ballads and a lot of covers.

Just looked them up and they’re actually Irish which I didn’t know so i’m happy with that.

 

Yes, Westlife are Irish. One of their members was my neighbour growing up. He used to play in goal for Leeds reserves hah.

 

So I guess the fact that I've actually enjoyed plenty of lazy saturdays cleaning & fooling around the flat with Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino on the stereo would be a bad opinion hahah!

Man, Coldplay are so much better than Muse.

Queen are great, but the number of people who are like "I ADORE Queen" and then only know like five songs gets annoying. Also, the Queen movie was so bad that it put me off listening to them for awhile.

 

if you don’t think tranquility base is a masterpiece i don’t trust you
