I feel like contemporary Christian music is a ploy from the devil to keep people away from the church. At least that's what it sounds like to me.

This is how I feel about the macho bullshit metal. The “fucking bow down,” “save your pity for the weak” shit. It’s so corny.

 

So many metalcore bands seem to do the "Invisible force is trying to put us down but WE'RE GOING TO STAND UP AGAINST IT AND FIGHT"

Not quite macho but it's so uninteresting, if not cringeworthy.

On metal/hardcore tropes I can't stand, bands who are self referential about the genre in which they exist are the musical equivalent of a #niceguy. If it were true, you wouldn't need to say it.

Also, I don't get Turnstile.
