Sulfuric Cautery would be such a better band if they actually had good production values for their songs and didn't sound like they were recorded in a meth lab. Sometimes I don't understand the DIY goregrind scene.

I thought yall were saying gorgegrind and was confused about what a gorge had anything to do with music and why that would denote something more intense but it's gore. Huh. Reading really is fundamental.

 

my (maybe) bad opinion is that the font that a lot of metal bands use is absolute shit and unreadable.

I’m assuming the band name or album name is in that black scribble smudge in the image from your post but I have no idea what it says and so many album covers have that type of font in the metal thread and I have idea how to search for the artist because I can’t make out any of the names lol

A lot of goregrind album covers make me uncomfortable especially ones with mutilated bodies. And yet none made me as uncomfortable as that Kanye album cover with the skinned monkey.

 

I think I'm really open minded with music and listen to a lot of different genres but I have finally accepted that extremely heavy music is just NOT for me. I've tried multiple times and I just can't do death metal/black metal/all of the variants

Metalcore is the heaviest I'll go and even that is hit or miss for me

 

Same. There's only one thing I can listen to even less: hardcore (as in the Dutch/European electronic music genre, not as in the rock version) and all its subgenres. Frankly, I find people who enjoy hardcore immediately suspect

 

it's ok, we can't all be trve kvlt warriors. we need a sustainable amount of fvlse on this hellplanet so we can sift their souls in the hearths of The Hall

The hard thing for me with metal is I'm picky about screams/growls and I have a serious aversion to bands whose lyrics are all, like, satan bullshit. So finding bands I dig feels like threading the needle sometimes.
