There’s a version of Zeitgeist with the vocals down 2db and it makes all the difference

The Binaural album is both cool and creepy at the same time, especially adding an eye to that nebula

I wish more AIC sounded like Would?

I feel like a chunk of Tools whole existence is to ape the feeling of that song

Adam Jones from Tool is a great guitar player but I wish he would use a wider range of guitar tones.

Gin Blossom’s New Miserable Experience is a legit great rock album.
Third wave ska was largely boring
The 90’s was easily the worst decade for metal music

I saw the gin blossoms at a rib fest like 10 years ago and they were playing all new stuff and were made people wanted the hits then it started to rain and the show was cancelled before they played anything anyone knew.

Velvet Revolver on paper should’ve been much cooler than what we got.

This is correct. It’s their best by a country mile. And I like all the Layne albums. But it’s not close

Superunknown is the best full length (I call Jar of Flies an EP personally) to come out of any of these grunge/post-grunge bands mentioned

ehhhh it's a little spotty and the sheen of the production didn't do them any favors but it has some all time songs

I think the production polish is what took them from promising (Badmotorfinger) to truly great, myself.

Also, Adore is super-underrated in the great grunge/post-grunge albums conversation

    first two albums for sure

it’s so wild a song from their very bad third album was the entourage theme song lol

Haha I totally forgot that was the Entourage theme song, wow.

But yeah, the first two albums are nuts. The other two I remember thinking were at least enjoyable, but not the same

I don't think I've ever heard anyone talk about an album besides Ritual or Shocking in my entire life until now.

threw on some deeper cuts from the grunge and alt kings last night.

I just dont like this genre and I still resent that at the time the radio stations would have you believe it was the only new rock music that existed at all up until the mid 2000s an entire decade after most of the stuff was even recorded.

I dont think a genre has ever done so little in such a short time have as much of an impact as grunge did. And its legacy is beyond frustrating. Since then weve had to endure post-grunge and some better bands from better genres incorporating elements from alt rock into their music.
