They actually put on a pretty incredible, moving show at Made in America a few years back. Never really disliked them ever but that really sold me on them.

coldplay is great. i was talking about it today bc the 20th anniversary of parachutes is a few days away. they had a shot for the throne and honestly might have had it through VLV. but they lost the plot. i like a few scattered songs throughout afterwards but the batting average definitely took a dip.

i’ll do the fucking full britpop/post britpop ranking if y’all keep taking the piss

See the thing about all of these bands that people on here like to vehemently rip apart is that they're big for a reason, they all write some pretty incredible pop songs. U2, Oasis, Coldplay etc. You don't get that big being horrible! That's why I find it so weird to shit all over them or attempt to deny their hits. You can't.

Coldplay lost me at Mylo Xylophone but I’m into everything before that

Yeah that Keane record is really good. Certified Starbucks Frappuccino Rock but I cannot deny “Bend and Break”

I look back on my time in high school where I trashed DMB at any attempt I could and it's like... Crash and Crush and all the other hits are very well written songs. I should have lightened up!

There’s a ton of great music out there. Lots of people just can’t get over themselves and give it an honest shot.

I can’t say when I last listened to em, but Mumford & sons were emerging in my senior year of high school and my friends and I were all about that debut

I hated on FOB when they dropped "Sugar" because a bunch of girls I was friends with were in love with them and I remember having the Atticus Dragging the Lake 3 tape with "Grand Theft Autumn" acoustic on it and I'd play it all the time in the car under the guise of mocking how Pat sings but it was really because that song was a fucking banger and I wanted to listen to it and sing along. High school was corny

they have a handful of decent songs but kinda took a nosedive when they went electric

I've seen Mumford and Sons 3 times now. They're good! I actually think Wilder Mind is their best record, which is an unpopular one even for fans.
