I don't get the Arcade Fire hate, I find them a bit of a tiresome listen all at once, but their best tracks are some kinda 1970s fire - Sprawl, Keep the Car Running, Neighborhood, Everything Now... their range is at the very least interesting.

My unpopular opinion of the day is that I do not get Lana Del Rey. Her cinematic sound is so boring to me (Video Games), and her vocals just don't work for anything upbeat (Summertime Sadness). Her writing is solid I'm sure, but I feel like she's famous for being pretty and brooding.

At the very least I would agree with The Head on the Door

Head On The Door is tops for sure, but Disintegration is probably number two for me. Maybe Wish

"A Man I'll Never Be" by Boston hangs with the absolute top tier of rock songs from the 70s.

Going to listen to Arcade Fire for the rest of my afternoon now to spite all you heathens jk, listen to what you enjoy everyone

  13. Reducing an artist's success to her looks, and assuming people only got into her because of her attractiveness. You manage to insult both Lana Del Rey and her fans in the same sentence, and on top of that, with misogynistic undertones.

Just found this thread randomly & decided to come in & say that Modern Baseball's album Ghost is far & above their best, & when I return to them I don't ever listen to their first 2 full lengths anymore.

  16. Always hated that band tbh. Slaughter Beach Dog is pretty good though

Holy Ghost is the only material I like from them and even then it's just like, fine. I love the song "Mass" though.

I love The Mars Volta (up through Amputechture) but either can’t stand or have no interest in anything else they’ve done. Past that album, side projects, pre-TMV, etc... it’s like those five years were blessed.
