I can only find this song on Vimeo for some reason but this is one of the worst fucking songs I've ever heard in my life and I have to hear it at work every single day

I love Orleans and ARS. Legitimately gifted musicians who got a bum rap because the music wasn't loud.

Nights Are Forever by England Dan and John Ford Coley is one of my all time favorite albums, and it's underrated for the exact same reason.

Jackson Browne had an outstanding run of records in the 70s. Late for the Sky, For Everyman, The Pretender, and Running on Empty are all really excellent.

A good amount of the music I’ve been listening to and loving in recent years is music made by women and it bums me out to still see people spewing takes such as “women don’t make good music”, which is a take I still see sometimes on the internet. My top 3 albums so far this year are from bands fronted by women, and I have no doubt a lot of my end of the year AOTY list will be filled with women in it.

It’s their best album but Funeral and the EP are both great. The Suburbs, Reflektor, and Everything Now are mostly forgettable.

Arcade Fire is one of those bands who I tried getting into 'cause I thought it made my taste more sophisticated but every time I listened to them my favourite bits were the silence between tracks.

I put off listening to them forever because they seemed super pretentious but I really like the few songs I’ve heard. I think I prefer Father John Misty’s cover of The Suburbs more than the original though.

Tried to get into Arcade Fire multiple times but I just don't get it. I don't like using the word "boring" to describe music, but that's the only way I feel when listening

i like when bands are pretentious and think it's preferable to not having anything to say at all, which is where i think most bands sit these days
