The Eagles are one of those bands that writes either just absolute all time incredible songs or just worthless trash and no in between. and you can quibble with choices in their actual sound but the songs themselves, the great ones, are pretty undeniable. quintessential rock of that style. I have no desire to listen to them ever though lol

every eagles album has something incredible on it. they’re hokey, for sure, but one of my favorite bands. walsh is an all time player.

idk much about eagles, but everytime hotel california comes on someone mentions how much they hate that song, but i kind of like it.

I just found that out, but it was going to blow my mind if he sang on it too

 

I was always annoyed by "Hotel California" until my ex told me that she despised it. Now I like it a lot.

 

As to the writing, my understanding was Frey wrote the first verse, JB wrote the second?

Jackson Browne is great, poor guy also caught COVID 19 but it sounds like he's been doing good
