I really dig Hop Along but always forget about them when I'm not listening to them

 

Hop Along really is a fitting name for them..

Still not a big fan of Get Disowned but Painted Shut was very good and Bark is downright phenomenal

 

my unpopular opinion is also that I think hop along is just pretty good

 

I really like them! They’re just not one of my favorites. Nothing against them at all, love Frances’ voice and Sister Cities is a wonderful song.

 

I actually do not check for Ariana tbh. She is a vocally talented person but it's wasted on an empty vessel black hole of charisma. The fashion nova looks she serves me are awful and her over tanning and fake accent is gross and transparent. Her whole vibe is annoying generally.

But I still recognize that her past singles were more boppy than thank you next. Maybe because it has the context of her annoying relationship with Pete she plastered everywhere like we had to hear about his dick and their sex lives and all this messy over sharing for months and now she wants to thank you, next two weeks later well I'M NOT OVER WHAT U PUT US THRU ARI. If she hadn't overshared with Pete for months I don't even think it would've hit #1, hot take. Which, she's not the first to use their personal life for gain so that's whatever, but the song doesn't stand on its own imo at least not as a #1

 

Some 13 year olds are super smart.

 

I’ve never listened to Ariana before but that Thank U, Next song bops hard. Maybe a little long, but that chorus is so catchy.
