God, have none of you been to school? It’s spelled B e g g a r s.

 

Thrice has never connected with me like they do with other people. I like them, I do, but I don't love them.

 

They're a band I like and respect a lot but also never ever listen to, they have had little lasting value for me even factoring in nostalgia but I also "get it"? I don't know

 

Thrice are one of those bands that are clearly good but just lack something.

 

I only really love maybe three full thrice albums, but I feel like I love those ones enough to call them one of my favorite bands

All the Interpol records are great and have hits at least but TOTBL can't be beat

 

Interpol are on the list with Modest Mouse and Talking Heads where if I have people over, I can throw them on and no one is upset about the choice.

 

I can't imagine ever wanting to or not to hear Modest Mouse. They do absolutely nothing for me. Interpol has some great stuff and some boring stuff. Modest Mouse just kind of exists.

I actually really enjoy this group, but Tame Impala also seems to be a band I can throw on in the background and nobody has any qualms

 

Currents has like 4 or 5 really big highs but the rest of the album blends together and does nothing for me

 

I've had the opposite experience haha. I rarely have issues where friends comment negatively about music I'm listening to, but I've had that happen twice with Tame Impala

I feel like Currents, at least, is pretty whitenbluecore so they can't get too mad about it being off brand!

 

Ppl always comment and complain when I put on Carly Rae jepsen

Modest Mouse was better than Brand New when I saw them together, it was a pretty large place so I think Modest Mouse came thru with more variation and different instruments like horns.

 

A little late but I really appreciate musicians that know when to keep it short and sweet. Feel like some hip hop artists are embracing the idea.
