    Goddamn, man child Prestigious

I don't like Paramore. I listened to Riot when it came out, the Brand New Eyes one, and then I've heard their poppier songs on the radio but I like those even less than the other ones. I don't really have a big reason tho. It just doesn't keep my interest.

I love the electronic drums on Zao's Self-Titled album.

  3. I think BNE is also my favorite, but s/t is not a very distant second

Also, I have somehow never listened to Zao

I dig the poppier sound more that they did on S/T, but I think BNE is a stronger album overall. S/T just has too many songs I dont care for and that makes it hard to consider it their best work.

  5. Yeah, that's pretty much it for me too. BNE just works so much better as a whole record. As much as I appreciate the diversity of s/t, the cohesive nature of BNE goes a lot longer for me.

Yep, S/T has some great tracks but it's disjointed. I love about half of it though, in particular the poppier songs.

I'm not sure how unpopular this opinion really is but I've always been under the impression its quite unpopular: For Emma, Forever Ago is better than Bon Iver, Bon Iver

I feel like that's a pretty even split from what I've seen. I can see the arguments for why people prefer both records honestly.

I think it's an even split too. Honestly I haven't listened to Emma near enough, or else I think they'd be more equal for me

Nothing wrong with Oasis. They've got half a dozen great songs, and for a few years in the mid-90s were the absolute zeitgeist of youth / popular culture in England. I think they get a bad rep because Wonderwall is overplayed and Liam Gallagher is a wanker.

Very important band culturally though, at least in England.

When you hit a mothafucka, you hit that mothafucka Prestigious

Yeah Noel Gallagher is really pretentious and condescending for a guy who wrote a couple decent pop songs in his career and that's it. He has a tendency to say nasty things about much better and more creative musicians than himself so I don't think there's any lens through which I could be bothered to give him credit or respect. Hes just a loudmouthed average musician with an annoying singing voice.

I'm not British but from the outside in it appears bands like Oasis were more of a phase whereas Radiohead and Blur for example had a longer lasting effect on art culture as their sound evolved and fans grew with them.

First two Oasis records are classics, rest of their catalogue is relatively hit or miss with some fantastic songs sprinkled in there
