Thin Lizzy was to 70s rock what the Kinks were to the 60s British Invasion. I get that they aren't the best but they're damn sure up there.

 

I've already said that if you haven't listened to Astral Weeks you shouldn't be allowed to talk about music but I'll say it again

 

Johnny the Fox, no question. It's got one dud tucked in at the end, but everything before that is ace.

 

Easily their best album.

 

I need more time with that one, but it impressed me. I also have a major soft spot for Nightlife, mostly for showing their versatility.

 

You should never judge someone for their musical opinion.

Unless they don't like Faith No More. In which case, it's the only responsible thing to do.

Ok, for consistency's sake: you should never judge someone for their musical opinion unless they like Mr Brightside or don't like Faith No More.

 

Listening to this new Color Film album just reminds me how I cannot stand anything that Daryl Palumbo is in (yes, this includes Glassjaw).

I understand that. I love Daryl but his style isn't for everyone.

 

Definitely an acquired taste.

 

I honestly don't hear "Mr. Brightside" enough to hate it, and the only other Killers song I know is that one about looking like jesus.

 

I guess I feel like since I'm just about to turn 30 now, that Glassjaw is one of those bands that I'm supposed to like and was supposed to like back in the late 90s / early 00s, but yeah his voice is definitely an acquired tasted that apparently I just never could acquire hah.

 

You know what, I'm going to double down on this and say that Hurley is their worst record by a country mile

the only thing daryl's done that i like is glassjaw. head automatica had some okay songs but was never really my thing, that color film song posted is alright too but nothing special. interested to see if he really is taking over united nations from geoff, that could be interesting.
