Me and my brother also have bonded a bit over Still Searching. It's one of the few things we've bonded over.

 

I don't like any senses fail albums much. Renacer is okay

 

What i'm meaning is i'm not about the over cliquey/condemning who does stuff differently part. I'm for a community who helps each other out and encourages growth.

 

can't believe I actually talked about music on this site.

 

FTDOD and LIEY have nostalgic value for me, but I can't remember the last time I've listened to a song from either and I don't think they're good releases. They fell off entirely for me with SS and I didn't bother checking out another record of theirs until The Fire, which I also didn't like. Not a fan of the last two either.

LINAWR is the only one I haven't listened to haha

I don't remember much of Senses Fail's other albums, but Still Searching is pretty good for its genre.

It's definitely spotty and a bit / a lot melodramatic, with some shite lyrics, but I think there are some pretty cool songs on there, like Can't Be Saved, Shark Attack, Still Searching and To All The Crowded Rooms.

Definitely one of the better of the mid-00s mildly screamy emo albums.

 

Late on this, but holy shit if this aint the truth. I stopped eating meat a couple years ago now and I typically don't bring it up. Like, I try not to get in people's business about what they do/don't do. But when someone asks "Why?" or "How?" I'm more than willing to have that discussion. There always seems to be that ONE person though that's in the back going "YEAH WELL YOU SMOKE!" Like seriously, fuck off.

 

Renacer, Still Searching and LINAWR are SF's best, depends on how I'm feeling that day. The Fire is fine, and LIEF isn't very good, but has it's moments.

 

This reads as more of a personal exerience gripe rather than a valid criticism of the music industry/business/community as a whole haha. Unless I'm just being really dense, this is an incredibly vague explanation. Can you give an example of what you mean?

 

Also, I doubt this is unpopular, but "loose lips sink ships" has got to be the most overused and irritating lyrics. I swear every half-arsed emo band from a decade ago used that line at some point.

I'd love somebody to collate every single usage of that line from that scene.

People seem to get really riled over this one, but old worn-out aphorisms/proverbs end up in songs all the time with way less ire.

 

I hate any time I hear "you can have your cake and eat it too" in a song.

Life is my close 2nd favorite. Lungs, Wolves, Yellow Angles, Fireworks, Garden State....the whole album is fantastic but Renacer has Snake Bite, The Path and Mountain and the Sea...

 

I'm not sure what this means.

 

I think Bob was the first to use that phrase and it's a great song
