Guilty pleasure does tend to have a negative connotation to it. I don't feel guilty to like such a wide variety of music. I have a particular fondness for both death metal and rap and they're on opposite ends of the spectrum.

I've always used guilty pleasure in the context of knowing that whatever I like I wouldn't really consider good.

No actual guilt tied to it.

its fun, stupid music and i enjoy listening to it fully of the opinion that it's really corny amateur music haha

Jackass is great.

 

To jump on something from two pages back, I'll sometimes put full albums on shuffle. Pretty rarely, but sometimes. If it's an album I know back-to-front anyway, it doesn't ruin my enjoyment because I've heard it from start to finish a billion times before, and it's sometimes quite interesting when you're not sure what song is coming up next, or you're pleasantly surprised how well track 6 flows on from track 2.

Artists aren't infallible, if I think "my" tracklisting of their record is better than their tracklisting, then fuck it, that's the way I want to listen to it.

Some albums have tracks that I always skip, so I don't see anything weird about mucking around with a track order.

 

That last line is they best way I've ever heard Blink 182 described.

 

I miss Jackass.

 

I do remove Death of an Interior Decorator from Death Cab's Transatlanticism and still call it a perfect album both ways

also The National's Alligator works better with Mr. November coming after Abel, and then flowing into "Geese of Beverly Road" and "City Middle" as the album closer. I don't like having such a nice, resolute, calming ending and then suddenly having the most or second most loud and aggressive song on the record last.

Oh okay, when I originally responded to the tweet I was talking about skits more so than songs.

those are usually fine too. but i dont need to hear the horrible skits on the first few eminem records ever again
