I guess I never care if someone can sing amazingly in the technical hitting all the crazy notes sense. I don't listen to many belters or ppl known for singing great. I just need to be able to personally tolerate their voice, pop or any genre.

 

Pop is typically one of the best genres as far as finding good technical singers too. It's rare that I find a pop singer where I can't listen because of the vocals, but it happens all the time in other genres (especially rock)

 

Is this unpopular?

 

Lil Waynes Rebirth was like, my obsession in 2010 and I still have a soft spot for it despite how many people dislike it.

Daughtry was the best thing to ever come out of American Idol

 

Beck needs to go back to making weird ass music.

I like all of Minus The Bear's albums. Infinity Overhead probably the least but it's still not that bad.

Also not my favorite of theirs by quite a long stretch, but I don't think If Not Now, When? by Incubus is as bad as some people make it out to be. Oh, and I really like Light Grenades a lot.

 

I kind of like Kingdom Come by Jay-Z, at least for the handful of good tracks

 

I like ADTR. Since U Been Gone Cover is p good too

 

I love the acoustic version but the one on the album is miserable to me

 

Raditude is bad even for Weezer standards but I love "I'm Your Daddy" haha

 

its due for a critical reevaluation, "knockout" bangs

more a statement on how amazing since u been gone is than anything else tbh

 

(If You're Wondering If I Want You To) I Want You To is great but Butch co-wrote/produced so that was basically a given

 

Other than the breakdown (which I could do without in this instance) it's a pretty by the numbers cover, the OG is a very good song obviously

 

I also like most of the Bastille songs I've heard, Bad Blood and Pompeii mostly. For a band that gets grouped with Imagine Dragons, they're really solid.

 

Yeah I really don't think it's that bad. Prom Queen and Knockout and the track with Eminem are solid tunes. Wayne may not be a technically proficient guitarists but the melodies and little riffs he comes up with are catchy

 

Knockout straight up sounds like Green Day

 

Oh yeah definitely. Hot Revolver could've been a Foo Fighters song

i interviewed their lead singer and he seemed like an interesting guy, but god was it a chore getting through their album

 

butch walker sucks

 

When they do straight pop punk they're pretty much the best sounding band of that "I hate this town/I love my friends/I wish it were summer" subgenre of pop punk and an unguilty listen for me. It's the hammy metalcore shit that gets in the way. WSYFM was their best album imo
