can someone explain what I am missing with the band CAMINO (besides having an absolutely horrible band name)? I listened to Daphne Blue and don't understand why one singer sounds like butt-rock and the other sounds like pop punk. What am I missing here?

 

Have not listened but they and Prince Daddy and the Hyena are two bands I refuse to listen to based on their name alone. I’m sure I’d probably like some of their stuff but I just can’t do it with the name. Am the same way with Soccer Mommy aside from Your Dog which rules.

I don’t think a band name has ever deterred me from getting into a band. Except, like, Slaves, but there were other reasons for that.

 

Balance and Composure, The Swellers, and I The Mighty are three bands I didn’t check out for way too long due to their names. That last one is kinda just fine but the other two wound up being very meaningful bands to me

 

I really like both of those band name, ha

 

All really solid bands haha. Haven’t listened to the latter in a while but I loved their first EP and LP.

 

Yeah they’ve got some jams for sure! Their name and general association with that whole Warped Tour scene had me thinking they were like a chugga chugga metalcore band or something hahaha. I was way off

 

I'm a sucker for stupid band names.

 

My test is would I wear a shirt with a band name on it and like every band now fails that test
