Back in the day, I liked “Bad Boys 2” up until the 2-hour mark then it just kept on going and I was done with it. No reason for it to be 2.5 hours.

 

I loved bad boys 2 but haven’t seen it in years.

 

I remember renting the original on VHS and liking it. The second one I remember was ok. Wasnt too excited for third, but watched during covid and loved it. I really want to see this new one and T-Mobile Tuesdays offered a ticket for $5 so I pulled the trigger. I just dont remember anything about the past three movies now. And my lady has never seen any of them.

 

The first one isnt very good. Bay wasn't Bay quite yet

What about the slap though?

 

lol, seriously. i wasn’t in love with this film but it’s nice will is seeing some success still

 

Should also serve as a reminder to give black audiences something to see at the theater.

I had a lot of fun with this one. The third is still my favorite, it just had a better storyline, the jokes landed more. I liked the focus on Mike's past versus Marcus's enlightenment. Funny how they both start with the other almost dying. However, there was one scene that had me laughing and cheering more than maybe any scene in the entire franchise. You'll know which one. I feel like the movie was made just to give us that Reggie scene, haha. And the smile to the camera at the end just confirmed it.

My mom was telling me last night how she won't be seeing the new "Bad Boys" because of the slap and I was like "You weren't going to see it anyway. And you haven't seen a Will Smith movie in years!"

She was probably gearing up for a Will Smith filmography run, but the slap only further solidified her stance on Will Smith flicks. Sheesh.

 

So true. She had the DVDs all ready and everything!

 

This was a blast. Half full theater at 5 on a Monday too. Everyone was loving it.

I haven’t seen 1 in forever so I won’t rank it but

2 > 4 > 3

 

Also was that a Michael Bay cameo? And that dude from Tik tok that just shrugs? Weird.

 

I’ve seen it twice. I had fun both times.

 

Seeing this tonight, after watching the first 3 for the first time a couple of weeks ago. Pretty excited

 

Yeah I think we're definitely getting another Bad Boys film judging by the success of this one.
