Bad Books is an American indie rock band formed in early 2010, and is composed of indie folk artist Kevin Devine and members of indie rock band Manchester Orchestra along with drummer Benjamin Homola. The collaboration began when Kevin toured along with Manchester Orchestra in November–December 2008 in support of his EP I Could Be with Anyone, and followed by the release of the split EP entitled I Could Be the Only One in January 2010.[1]
Fun story. The only time I’ve ever heard Andy genuinely pissed at ‘fans’ was when the I Could Be The Only One split was released. He could literally recall exact comments on the AP thread. ‘Come on, Andy. At least try.’ was the one that really bothered him.
"i wrote it down for you...so I wrote it down for you... you can keep it in your corner pocket with your guitar picks and your cough drop wrappers" ------------- Song about a married couple abducted by aliens who are the only humans left and start to hate each other. "8:45 appears I'm privately alarmed. Taking shots out of the spray paint can shot flares into the dark. Tree bark in a glass our homeward permanent cocoon and you're trying to remember the last year you saw the moon. Was it 1998 was it 2002… the radiance among us were they treating us like food? To 2003 to 2024. Was it back when I realised there would be no more year of the lord? what an empty gorgeous place. Ohh ohh. what an empty gorgeous place. 2:25 appears I'm hanging by a thread. Your arms bent in frustration like I'm already dead. Just because I don't remember who I used to be, doesn't mean that I can't tell you that I'm evaporating. There is nothing in your eyes. There is nothing in the wind. There are two individual trauma causes to amend. I'm a million years away. You're another million more. So we count the days until they just don't need us anymore. What an empty gorgeous place. Oooh ohh. What an empty gorgeous place. Oooh ohh. What an empty gorgeous place I belong here. I belong here.
In this day and age, to tease an album cover/new album on March 11 and then not release any follow-up info/singles/tour information by March 20 (and counting) is kind of bizarre. Nine days is an absolute eternity in 2019.
Maybe they want to be in our Bad Books. You’re right though...it is odd. Especially since its not some random label in control of the situation (I’m assuming Favorite gentlemen is ha fling this).
