Let's talk about the mash up of two of our favorite groups of people: Manchester Orchestra and Kevin Devine. IMO it's been far too long since Bad Books II and I'm so excited to see what this group does next. They've made some of my favorite songs and I'm really excited for the Daytrotter Sessions LP which might be dropping soon:
i've been falling back in love with 2 real hard this past weekend. lost creek is such an underrated song.
It is really hard to find Bad Books online and so I haven't really listened to them besides their acoustic sessions. I really like what I hear. Hope things become easier to find whenever LP3 rolls around. I think I got LP2 from bandcamp recently, but I prefer going in sequential order if I can
I got the deluxe vinyl real cheap when they came to SC touring off that album and yeah, all the art in that is amazing.
I think Andy said in a podcast late last year that it'd be until at least 2018 until another Bad Books record. WIth MO releasing a record this year (and presumably touring) I'd say 2018 may even be a generous assumption.
maybe things have sped up, clearly something happening. A lot of tracks on that board.. I could see them Making the record this year and releasing it next year
i really hope the band evolves into something more than just feeling like there are andy songs and kevin songs.. would be cool if it really felt like both of them were present on every track. II did a better job at this than the first one did but I still thought it felt evident who wrote which song.
going to guess Fall release for Manchester which makes sense for them. they always sound better in the Fall
