I got a kick of the posts on Reddit where people were like “Clark was a normal nice cool guy then he suddenly went crazy and out of character. I didn’t buy that jump.”
Knew nothing of the series before this. I really enjoyed this though. Scariest part for me though was the dinner scene and she’s telling him everything that’s wrong with him… felt like I was being personally attacked. Kinda took the monster to be his fucked up vision of like a low point in his life still haunting him. Liked how it left some meat on the bone for more story or theories… would have liked to see how he came to terms with it
Saw this tonight and was genuinely creeped out at times. The atmosphere was phenomenal and unlike anything I’ve seen before. Not sure I’m tracking with the loops caused by previous trauma manifesting as backrooms but that ending sequence really got me. What a cool final shot.
I wonder what this IP is better suited for going forward; a recurring HBO series, or another movie or two?
Would be the place for it, it seems. They already have a deal with A24 in place for their shows and movies.
HBO series that follows things from the perspective of the people in yellow suits. Call it Suits 2 to really confuse people.
