  1. Forgot about Alexisonfire and The Felix Culpa. The latter's album felt big in the ap.net forums at the time.

Here's my re-ranking of 2010. Looks like I have a few based on other's list that I will need to check out. 2010 me would probably have put Circa Survive as #1. A few of these I discovered way after 2010 (Bad Books, Josh Ritter, Steel Train) and some of these I haven't listened to since 2010 or 2011 (mostly the bottom 10).

    1. Sufjan Stevens – Age of Adz
    2. My Chemical Romance – Danger Days
    3. The Gaslight Anthem – American Slang
    4. The National – High Violet
    5. Bad Books - Bad Books
    6. Circa Survive – Blue Sky Noise
    7. Josh Ritter – So Runs the World Away
    8. Hellogoodbye – Would It Kill You?
    9. House of Heroes – Suburba
    10. Motion City Soundtrack – My Dinosaur Life
    11. Anberlin – Dark Is The Way, Light Is A Place
    12. Steel Train – Steel Train
    13. Arcade Fire – The Suburbs
    14. Bayside – Killing Time
    15. Underoath – Ø (Disambiguation)
    16. Haste the Day - Attack of the Wolf King
    17. Fair - Disappearing World
    18. Streetlight Manifesto - 99 Songs of Revolution Vol. 1
    19. The Wonder Years - The Upsides
    20. The Menzingers – Chamberlain Waits

I really like Number One Gun but my opinion soured a bit after their Kickstarter issues with the subsequent release. Seemed like a bunch of bands had overly ambitious crowd-funded projects around then

I’m not very aware of the circumstances to be honest. His name is Jeff, correct?

Yeah - Jeff Schneeweis. It took him over 3 and a half years to send any of the physical items in the kickstarter tiers for his follow-up album. If I remember correctly, the digital album came out in 2013 but the rewards for t-shirts, dvds, cds, etc. didn't actually start showing up to people until 2016. He would post an apology every so often but I think some fans started to threaten legal action after a while. It seemed like a huge mess all around. I think I contributed on a lower tier but I guess that's always the risk with crowd-funding.

Seems like it was enough of a circumstance for him to stop recording. Damn.

Just reminded myself of "Lowcountry" by Envy On The Coast yesterday, it's been 10 years as well. I really enjoyed the album and had it in my car for a long long time!
