Also where the fuck is the discussion about this!? It’s good and there are plenty Jay Som/Palehound fans on here (or at least more than Trevor and I haha)
Sand Angel just does it for me. That slowcore Duster type stuff really hits. Admittedly not that familiar with Palehound but would love to hear more of that in Jay Som’s music
Revisiting that last Palehound record — more of it quickly came back to me than I thought it would. Definitely hear where y’all are coming from with saying this is Palehound heavy too. I think I prefer Jay Som’s overall ~sound~ but this is still really cool
Silly vinyl question: did anyone see/get the “limited” version of the LP that sold out early? I can’t find it anywhere & am just curious what the difference was between it and the yellow variant that is available everywhere else
yes! thank you. I couldn't find an image of it anywhere since it was sold out and just wanted to see it in case it made me want to seek it out and...damnit it does.
Doomin' Sun Fest livestream is today at 6pm ET/3pm PT. It apparently ends with Bachelor playing the album in full. Bachelor & TBA Present: Doomin’ Sun Fest
Watched their whole set last night and it was great. I don't think I can say enough about how I feel Jay Som is the most underrated artist of the past 5-6 years. Haven't dove into Palehound as much but can't imagine I'm not going to be a big fan when I get around to it.
I couldn’t stay up that late on the east coast but watched the stream for about an hour. funny transitions & whatnot. Plus some cool artists/songs
The fest was cool but I didn't like the different channels and the fact that some artists sets were split up so you had to go to multiple channels and times to watch them. Also the stream cut off quite a few artists mid set. If you're going to invite artists to perform on your livestream don't cut them off, although I'm sure that wasn't intentional.
I watched a good chunk of it tonight and the editing drove me and my girlfriend crazy lmao. Still a good time, though. This album continues to grow on me.
