Cloud Atlas is on my watchlist, but I can attest that The Matrix and Speed Racer both absolutely own.
I’ve seen a lot of people that didn’t like the montage. I don’t quite understand that takeaway. I love the montage, that scene perfectly encapsulated my experience with cinema. Very cathartic.
Yeah I don’t get it either. If you liked the movie… that ending is key to the whole thing. For me, the montage is what elevates it to 5/5 masterpiece instead of just a 4/5 good effort
Need this to hit streaming because I do want to see it, but I don't want to sit in a theater for 3 hours for a movie I might end up hating lol. I've loved all of Chazelle's work thus far, but this one sounds unhinged.
I believe Warren Beatty once said “you don’t know what your movie even is until at least 10 years later”
Loved this and the audience in the half full (small) theater seemed to be on board as well which made it more fun.
Finally got to see this and thought it was incredible. Loved pretty much everything about it. Up there with Whiplash and La La Land which are two of my all time favourites. I'm so glad he got to make this and bummed it didn't perform all that well.
not announced yet but this and Fablemans will probably get streaming dates soon, dependent on what happens Tuesday
