Can anyone who has seen the movie that also has tinnitus confirm how accurately close the ringing sound was to actual ringing in the ears? Also, wouldn't it have been a bad idea to constantly play loud music if you had that condition?
I've had it intermittently in my life, and it was pretty close a couple of times to what what I've heard. A slight dulled but high pitch whine. They use the sound in the movie a few times.
I only get it intermittently, usually after concerts which is why I wear earplugs like a dork, I can't really place the sound of it I don't think the music was so loud that it would exacerbate it
That's how I feel, but I also think every one of his movies gets better with rewatches, so I'm curious where I'll eventually slot this.
This was dope but I'm an audiophile and the theater I went to had NO bass it was killing me haha. I can't wait to grab this on Blu-Ray with a good sound system. Or just see it again in a good theater. I also had tendinitis as a child which among other things led to surgery on my right ear drum. It's literally a man made ear drum, and while I could be deaf in that ear, it's still not the best obviously. I definitely still get ringing from time to time so I related to Baby in this movie in that regard, just not nearly as extensive haha. It was spot on when he was in the post office though. Wild stuff.
also, in ONE of the diner scenes, Killer Mike and Big Boi have cameos! I didn't notice them on my first watch
I think Killer Mike and Big Boi were in the fancy restaurant when Baby & Debra were on their date - they were stood infront of Doc when the camera showed him at the end of the bar. I think they were credited a 'restaurant patron 1' and 'restaurant patron 2' and that scene was the only one set in a restaurant if i'm not mistaken?
Spending the holiday by my lonesome today so I decided to see this again. Hoping my theater experience is better than last week's.
Yeah, Anthony Bourdain, tweeting "Fuck BABY DRIVER" with absolutely no context whatsoever is hilarious.
None of my friends seem too interested in seeing this so I may have to do a solo trip to the theatre for the first time.
This topic comes up a lot, but there is nothing wrong with going to a theater alone. In fact, it might be a better experience. There is very little to be gained from having someone there, while there are many advantages to being free from anyone else.
