Yeah, the last post-credits shot is Thor and Loki watching as Thanos’ ship pulls up in front of theirs.

I like the cliffhanger. I think its pretty clear that it isn't going to be permanent, but still lets the audience really feel the shock of what just happened, try to come to terms with the implications of what just happened, and start speculating on how everything is going to get fixed.

I don't like having shield, ant-man, and captain marvel (plus maybe some netflix stuff that is pseudo mcu) before the sequel. With an event that world-changing, they won't be able to ignore it but also won't really be able to address it.

overall enjoyed the film. certainly have some quibbles (took way too long to get to wakanda, doing the whole 'we caught the big bad but then someone lets personal feelings get in the way and that lets him escape' is cliche as fuck) but enough characters you can't get all the pairings you want to see and the pairings they did give us were a lot of fun.

    Assume It's A Bit

Well Ant-Man and Captain Marvel take place before Infinity War (Ant-Man is post-Civil War and Captain Marvel is the 90s), so there's that.

wait really? I suppose that is one way around it. Why is ant-man out of order?

i was thinking, seeing as how in order to get the Soul Stone Thanos had to make a sacrifice of what/whom he loved most to obtain it; is whomever takes the Gauntlet going to have to make the same sacrifice to use it? or was that a one time deal? i was thinking maybe that'll explain how the first generation Avengers could pass the torch to the new ones, to wish those people back into existence they have to disappear themselves.

No, they said “Hulk,” not “Banner.” Also I stayed away from theories, and good thing too because if I hadn’t maybe I would also have been disappointed by a preemptive spoiler.

I'm baselessly speculating that Ant-Man ends at the same time this movie ends, so they didn't want to spoil Thanos winning

This is actually one of my favorite (read: least favorite) things about the internet when it comes to reactions to big movies/tv shows. “What, you enjoyed that? It was totally predictable didn’t you read all of the fan theories that called it and happened to be right amongst all the other fan theories that happened to be wrong instead? Why aren’t you as mad at the movie as I am?”

It’s great to go into things fresh, you’ll like them more.

The gauntlet is fried after the snap (it’s still fried when Thanos is watching the sunrise) so a new one will probably have to be made. I would imagine that the Soul stone is in possession of Thanos and someone would have to sacrifice someone they love in order to take it from him.

Spoilers helped me out in a way. I wasn’t originally going to look at any until someone on Reddit posted the death list unexpectedly. My main disappointment would have been if the snap didn’t happen (it’s pretty bizarre and I didn’t know if Marvel wanted to take the route of having half of the universe go out) and knowing that it will happen caused my hype to go up.

I wouldn't not watch a show because I've heard spoilers for it... that's a bit too far.

I am glad that I saw Game of Thrones unspoiled however.

Lol if all you care about is the plot then I have to wonder what you actually like about stories in the first place. If a twist or ending is what makes or breaks a movie for people then it's probably just a shitty movie

Hey there’s a quote button if you have something to say to me.

Also, right, you got me, “caring about spoilers means I only care about the plot.” Jeez if I had a penny for every time I see that cut-and-paste retort, I’d be out of student debt. I am exposed as the philistine that I am :ok:
