There isn't as much fatigue as he hopes because the movies have only gotten better, and the people behind them are getting better. Meanwhile, let's look at Cameron's franchises:

Terminator? Ya ok pal. We're good.

Avatar? I watched Pocahontas enough as a kid, not to mention it's taking a quarter century and nearly an act of congress to get one of your supposed 3 sequels done.

Basically this man received deserved notoriety in the sci-fi field 30 years ago for great work, then struck gold retelling already told stories once a decade (Titanic and Avahontas). I'll take Judgement Day and Aliens and be good with Cameron retiring. I obviously don't have the ability to do what Cameron does, but at the same time, being annoyed and hoping for bad numbers for other creators on good work (that is being appreciated and selling great) when you actually aren't really doing anything for or in the genre is silly to me.

Yeah that’s very hypocritical of him to say that

I feel like he is jelly because he knows none of his future Avatar films will reach the hype of Infinity War

I know other movies have done it, so it's not a rarity. However, this feels so weird that it'll be 11 years since the first film. With 3D dying out and lack of consistent interest in the movies, it's probably not going to make even half of what the first one made.

I enjoyed the first one, but truly never understood why it was so widely praised. I feel if it hadn't been such a big deal that 3-D was taking off at that time, and Cameron wasn't behind it, that movie would've done OK. It truly is Pocahontas retold, with cgi explosions added in.

I’ve never watched Avatar. It was released at a time that I didn’t care to go to cinemas and by the time it was released on blu ray I was no longer interested.

I lucked out and got a seat in the middle of the theater for next Saturday (going solo has its benefits ha). I’m getting more and more excited for this and I’m really curious what the reaction will be once the embargo lifts in a few days.

It would be cool if Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and Luke Cage helped the Avengers.

Yea, I would've liked to see the other avengers cause they do have a big part but I guess they could be in the next one? Maybe?

A lot of it is due to the guy in charge of Marvel’s TV department. Apparently he is a tough guy to collaborate with.

I just remember an old interview w Charlie Cox saying that it is in his contract to appear in a movie if he is ever asked to, and it's gotten my hopes up heh

When do you think they'll announce the name of Avengers 4? Any chance they do it at the end credits of this one like "The Avengers will return in Avengers:Insert Name Here"

Question, so I've realized I'm running out of time to see Black Panther before Thursday and already have an insanely busy schedule ahead of me. I had put it off because I couldn't go when my friends did and then I was just seeing smaller films because I knew Black Panther wasn't going anywhere any time soon. obviously I let time get away from me haha.

for those who have seen Black Panther, is it pretty stand alone? do I need to see it before Infinity War?

It looks like Wakanda is going to play a big role in Infinity War so I think it will be important.

I wonder if the name is spoilery based on the outcome of this movie

Dr Strange is so far the only one I haven't seen. I think it's still on netflix so I think one night this week I need to get on that. Tickets for Sunday afternoon and I can't wait.

I definitely would recommend it. Same with Doc Strange for the above poster. If not, at least Youtube the end credit scenes so you know where some characters are.

They've been saying that for some time now, around the time they started saying this wasn't gonna be a 2 part movie

I had a dream that I was really excited about this movie. Damn marketers cracked that Inception technology.

I am really excited though. I'm going to blackout off the internet for a while, sometime soon.

They won’t and Marvel Studios is not presenting anything at Comic Con. The directors have said that they want to give people time to discuss and reflect on Infinity War. They didn’t even want to have a post-credits scene due to how the film ends but Marvel insisted. We probably won’t get a title until October.

It’s important in that you will be familiar with characters that are in this film but there are not any major plot points from Black Panther that affect Infinity War.
