^ Yeah, I was about to say. You can't assume that much from initial trailers. Plus, I'm pretty sure that character is confirmed for Avengers 4.

 

Characters could die in Infinity War and be revived in Avengers 4, appearing in both. I just don’t know how the writers went about that. Which makes it even more exciting to speculate

 

I trust the Russos enough as storytellers to not expect haphazard Infinity Stone misuse.

 

People talking about resurrection like it's a good idea and not strip all sense of stakes and consequences out of the story.

Just look at the CW DC shows, which have no consequences anymore

 

They could also die and it could end up they're Skrulls. Word is that Avengers 4 may deal with them.

 

Are they still titling these two movies “part 1” and “part 2” or is this one called “Infinity War” and the following a brand new title?

 

Based on what I've read, the name of the sequel is a spoiler and they don't want to give it up.

 

Avengers 4: Everyone Dies

 

If Avengers 4 does deal with Skrulls, maybe it’s titled Secret Invasion? Or something along those lines?

Or, if Cap or Iron Man die: Fallen Son?

 

I like the idea of Secret Invasion. I think Captain Marvel is going to be a big indicator of what is to come in A4. Could definitely see it planting the seeds for the Invasion.

 

I was going to say this as well. It would make a lot of sense to have Captain Marvel introduce the Skrulls, then go full Secret Invasion in Avengers 4

 

Secret Invasion feels possible and could be super cool, but dang it, please no fake out deaths that are actually Skrull deaths, and also please no retconning any major characters in previous films to be Skrulls. I don't want any annoying narrative choices like that. I'd love a post-credits scene in Infinity War revealing that, at the very end of the film, some Skrulls infiltrated the heroes' ranks, but they'd have to be real careful in the execution.

The other idea I'm stuck on is some sort of Secret Wars/Battleworld film, only instead of the Beyonder and Doom and all that, the Battleworld would be Earth after a Thanos victory. I don't know how they'd be able to pull that off in movie form, but ending Infinity War with Thanos establishing an empire on Earth and having Avengers 4 be the heroes working to overthrow him and set the world right could be sweet.

 

I still want Avengers 4 to be New Avengers

 

I don’t think they will have the finale of the first 3 phases have the original Avengers take a back seat for new avengers. New Avengers for avengers 5 would make more sense.

 

why would they give away information like this? that seems really odd

 

I’m not sure. They revealed his screen time will be equivalent to his share in Civil War.

 

Hopefully the title doesn't spoil things for you.

They were still shot back to back and are seemingly very connected, in spite of no longer being "part 1" and "part 2." So, I'd personally keep it this way for now.

 

They just can’t reveal the title because it supposedly spoiler-ish to what happens in Infinity War.

He says that, but he was also quoted last week that he wanted to continue playing Thor. haha

 

Out of the original Big 3 Avengers, he's easily the most likely to be back before long. Ragnarok really seems to have rejuvenated him.

I'm not expecting a Thor 4, even though he's apparently had hypothetical conversations with Taika Waititi, because Marvel seems to want more new franchises. But, whether in something Avengers-related, Guardians-related, or something new, I feel like he'll stick around.
