I think it’s safe to say some threads from phases 4 & 5 won’t be revisited for the foreseeable future. Marvel (thanks to Disney+ and the need to push the franchise to its limit) was forced to bite off more than it can chew.

Now that Marvel has the entire world of mutants, it’s still going to be difficult to fit all of that in with Doctor Strange, Black Panther, Fantastic Four, Shang-Chi, and the Avengers sequels. We’ll need mutants to show up in a lot of non–X-Men projects.

 

Sounds like Spider-Man needs to make some amazing friends.

 

I’m confident that, like the Incredible Hulk, they’ll follow up on all these loose ends eventually. Might be 17 years from now, but still..

I have no idea what a “danareys” is. But I do remember the lead of beloved 2019 film Last Christmas ending up in one of those shows.

I didn’t watch the show because, why would I? So no idea how villainous she was or wasn’t. But, based on the clip or two that crossed my path, seemed pretty obvious to me that’s what she was based on.

 

are they bringing Jordan Peele in or what??

 

It would be cool if they are saving her for the second F4 film. Skrulls are a big part of the F4 story.

 

I guess technically the other guy was the Super-Skrull since he got powers first and was the bad guy, but Clarke played Talos' daughter, who was just on the wrong side at first and took a heel-face turn in the end.

 

Were "heel turn" and "face turn" always mainstream phrases? I thought it was just a wrestling thing

I said I wasn't doing this, but there is something I want to say.

I can and have been critical of things I've watched in the MCU, and I could go and cite examples, but I'd rather not.

But I also find plenty of things to like and I can appreciate something just being fun. Being critical doesn't mean I have to hate it and/or be derisive of it or derisive of enjoying it.

oh, I meant as a director - I kept reading rumors that either Marvel approached him or that he approached Marvel about directing an MCU movie

 

They are definitely stirring the pot. They're being cagey in that weird social media way people do nowadays.

 

at first I thought there was no way he'd want that gig, but if his Nope follow-up fell apart or got permanently delayed or whatever then I could see him being open to this
