I feel bad for Mackie because that film did not help Steve Wilson at all. I'm not convinced the producers knew what the film was about until they were half way through editing it. It just feels like a big mess.

for a long time I assumed they avoided the Hulk because he's an expensive / complex special effect, but they CGI almost everything in these movies, including random mundane stuff like costumes that they just didn't feel like making or changed their mind about, sets that just look like normal places that would have been incredibly easy to film the normal way, etc., so I don't think that is the reason anymore, but it really is a shame because he's an awesome character and Mark Ruffalo is honestly far too good of an actor and one they are extremely lucky to have in the role and they don't seem to realize it or just don't care

Like we still don't even know the purpose of Sharon Carter getting back in the government's good graces, and that was at the start of Phase 4. Although I guess the rumor was it was going to tie into Armor Wars.
