All I’m saying is I don’t think it’s a hot take that MCU films were better when Steve was a main component of the story

That ship sailed, he had his closure. Let it be and stop using nostalgia to move tickets. Instead, write a decent movie with the characters you have.

    amen.

unfortunately mostly everything that marvel has squirted out of its ass since endgame has been varying levels of schlock, so its not necessarily surprising to see them tucking tail and running back to steve rogers and RDJ.

Still have a few movies post Endgame I haven't seen and I can't be bothered tbh. This is coming from someone who made it a point to see every single movie opening night for 10 years. While I hope this phase is a return to form, I'm not confident that'll be the case.

If the rumored storyline is true there's no way you could have done this without Steve tbh

As if the comics don't bring all these characters back every single year

  16. bringing back old (straight cis white male) actors/characters gives new (women and/or poc) ones less screen time

I actually wanted them to adapt either the older Steve from that comic run or at least show what adventure he had when returning the Infinity Stones, as it was an opportunity for him to run into Red Skull again. Both would be fun and interesting.

To be fair, there are 50+ characters vying for attention; they're all getting 5 minutes each tops.

Are we supposed to know exactly who the Avengers are now going into this

You can tell my current MCU investment level by this question

No, because at the end of Brave New World, Sam was going to put them together.
