I don't know if that's really unexpected. Shuri, M'Baku, and Namor were all named in the cast and the Wakandans have been treated as a separate faction in the synopsis.

 

I realise the irony of saying this in a thread for a MCU film, but… how many fucking Avatar films are there??

 

This would be the third.

And the thing is, Avatar 2 clears every MCU ever made and it’s not even close

 

avatar 1 clears the vast majority and it's like a 6/10

 

I can list 10 MCU films better than Pocahontas in space. Easily

Don’t really see why it has to be an either/or situation. Marvel has some great movies. Way of Water is a fantastic sequel.

 

I'm being a dick but yes we are lucky to get both (well, maybe marvel is a net negative overall but whatever there are some fun movies)

 

I just think it's dope I get to see my favorite super heroes in live action. yes there are stinkers but I'm a simple man

I’ve never watched an Avatar film. Not because I don’t admire the craftsmanship (I do), but because nothing about it has pulled me into wanting to watch the first film. Maybe I’ll just turn it into a whole weekend once the 4th and 5th films are out.

It’s Cameron so I’m sure the storytelling is epic in scale. Happy for everyone who’s excited for Fire & Ash
