To be fair, probably nobody knew.

 

He’s clearly being extra vague and secretive after letting slip one of his scenes.

Alan Cumming performing scenes without knowing who he’s doing them with is… very unsurprising for a giant Russos Marvel Studios crossover film, lol, and also bad.

Maybe I should just tap out of the lead up to this movie (if not perhaps the movie itself), ‘cause it’s not sparking any joy for me right now. Just so cynical and soulless.

 

It was necessary to even have him in the film. Someone on Reddit posted this quote from People Magazine:

"It was actually really great to go back. And especially, I'm 60 years old. I did not think I would be doing stunts, playing a superhero in my 60s. So that was great," Cumming says. "And everyone was really nice. And I got it done really quickly because I couldn't go, because of The Traitors, when most of my scenes were being shot."
"So I squashed them all together, and got a green screen and various things and little scenes of people here and there," he adds. "But it was pretty stealthy."

 

So basically he had to rush and film all his scenes without other actors present. That has to be weird filming in that sort of way. Reminds me of when Ian McKellen broke down on the Hobbit set because he was acting by himself in front of a green screen for alot of it.

 

He seems to be happy with it though.

 

The part that confuses me is that Alan also spoiled that he filmed a fight scene with Pedro.

I guess both can be true. He filmed some scenes with others and some scenes by himself.

Marvel really needs to care less about spoilers. Who cares if we know which characters are in scenes together? Those who will even look for info are already interested in the movie. If anything, things like this hurt more than they help. Knowing the actors aren’t really interacting dampens the magic.
